DropLine vs Claude's Publish Feature

Claude Publish creates a link, but anyone who opens it needs a Claude account. DropLine gives you a URL anyone can open in any browser.

// tl;dr

When you hit “Publish” on a Claude artifact, you get a claude.ai link. That link works — but only if the viewer has a Claude account. Most clients, stakeholders, and team members outside your org don't. They click your link, see a signup screen, and give up. DropLine solves exactly this: download the HTML from Claude, drag it into DropLine, and get a URL that works for anyone, in any browser, with no login.

  • You want a clean URL on a non-Claude domain (more professional in client contexts).
  • You want to control how long the link stays live.
// pricing

Pricing, briefly.

Claude Publish is included with any Claude plan ($0–$200/mo). DropLine starts free (1 active drop, 100MB) and offers paid plans from $9.80/mo. Most teams use both: Publish for internal Claude users, DropLine for everyone else.

// faq

Frequently asked.

How do I get my Claude artifact into DropLine?+
In the Claude artifact panel, click the three-dot menu and select “Copy code,” or ask Claude to output the full HTML in chat. Save it as a .html file and drag it into DropLine.
Can DropLine host interactive Claude artifacts (Chart.js, Tailwind, etc.)?+
Yes. CDN scripts, Google Fonts, and external libraries load normally on DropLine's delivery domain.
Will my client see DropLine branding?+
No. The shared URL renders the artifact itself, on a neutral domain (view.dropline.biz), without any DropLine watermark or branding.
What about AI-powered artifacts that call back to Claude's API?+
Artifacts that require a live Claude API session will not work outside Claude regardless of where they're hosted. This is a Claude product limitation, not a DropLine one.
